Fine & Mellow
Fine & Mellow are a fully live 6 piece band with a big, big sound. Jenny's powerful vocals are complimented by Hammond organ, piano, saxophone, flute, guitar, bass, drums, bongos, and three backing singers! No backing tracks or other production gimmicks are to be found in their own inimitable arrangements of great soul, blues and pop tunes.
Make no mistake, the full Fine & Mellow 6 piece band are quite capable of blowing the roof off any party, but remember that this is a group of extremely versatile and experienced musicians. Therefore, they are able to completely customise their repertoire and appearance to suit your event.
Aside from their regular set of up-tempo soul, blues and funk numbers they can be hired as a smaller 4 or 5 piece jazz band, with or without vocals. This version of the band can supply mainstream jazz swing and bebop, or more laid back sophisticated "cocktail" jazz
If you have a special request for a song specifically appropriate for your event, or just an old favorite; given reasonable notice, Fine & Mellow will perform any song at all for you whether it may be a jazz standard , Robbie Williams song or a TV theme tune.
Testimonials
Arley Hall
"A big thanks to you and the Band for your efforts at Arley Hall on Saturday night. Your playing of the Grand Piano was perfectly in keeping with the high class and distinction of the venue. The Band I thought, pitched it
perfectly with the livelier end of the evening in the Barn. The selection of music played both in the Barn and the main Hall was excellent and of a quality that I found inspiring. It is appreciated that you guys travelled a
long way to provide an important element in the evening. I'll be happy to look for you again should any other occassion arise. Thank you." - Steve McGuinness"
The Salamander Organisation
"An extremely enjoyable blending of traditional and contemporary jazz tunes all delivered with panache, style and a visible enjoyment of the event. Professionally arranged, attired and setup without any noticeable disturbance the musicians were excellent and the vocals elegant. - Denise Simpson,"
